Hey guys, so i have a pair of clowns and wanted to get them an anemone, but wanna get the one that will have best chance of being hosted. I like the carpet anemones.

I have a black with white stripes clown, and an orange with white strips and she has some black(more then just around the strips).

So what would be the best one for this pair? Haddoni carpet?

old pic, they are a lot bigger now! the black one has doubled in size! and is almost caught up with the orange one in size.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have had good luck with Haddoni Carpets. It delivers a pretty powerful sting so it takes a little while for them to acclimate. My clowns just always chose a Haddoni over a BTA when give a choice.

I do not like carpets. They can and likely will eat hundreds in fish. I got rid of mine after it ate a show size purple tang

Ouch! I like BTA's because of there more mild sting. That being said my BTA ate a pygmy wrasse so weak swimmers will always have issues until the clowns get comfortable in there. My clown chases fish away from her nem.

i will most likely get a small one so hopefully the clowns will host it before it gets big enough to eat my tang! :p

Technically nems host the clown, but thats for Vinny to rage about. The likelyhood of captive raised clowns pairing with a new is not super high. It took mine 8 months and I was about to get rid of it lol.

The lights went off suddenly, as someone plugged in a heater and tripped the circuit. Swallowed him whole, was like a member of the family :(. I almost threw the nem out the window, but traded him towards a new tang instead. Little ones will get big fast. Go with a bta and play it safe. They look cooler hosting too.
