So my wife and I started with a 55 gallon tank and I purchased a pair of Wyoming White clownfish. The red bubble tip anemone ended up getting into a fight with the powerhead and lost...surprise surprise. Last night, the fish store sold me a pair of Picasso clownfish. They behaved very well together and neither pair is aggressive toward each other or anything else in the tank.

Anyways, I am upgrading to a 210 gallon tank in the next month and want a couple anemones for each pair of clowns. I also want them to be different and not your run of the mill anemone. I am fairly new to this only having a tank for about 18 months. I still have scars from the bubble tip stinging me before he died, and have since added some rare corals that I do not want stung. Any suggestions?

The tank is mature, and I have an excellant wealth of knowledge with my aquarium store people. The lighting will be metal halides...

If you wanna drop the cash on them, they have some really intense bubble tips nems, sabeas and carpets are less common that btas and ltas..

you just needa start looking at some sites, as long as you have a mature tank, intense lighting, perfect water, and enough room, you could get any nem...carpets are harder but as long as everything is perfect then shouldnt have a problem

Thanks Saints Fan...the link to pink lemonade bubble is pretty cool. I just do not want the standard red that everyone has in their tanks...

I am not worried about the lighting or whether they will live in the tank...my aquarium lady will handle that. I just was wanting more recommendations on what kind of anemone...

yeah no problem glad i could help..

but i just googled " rare and exotic nems" it should pull up a bunch of different things as well as where to buy some..

you could also keep your eye open, alot of our sponsors post corals for sale and they usually have some exotic nems..

or maybe post a thread saying "looking to buy exotic colored nems" im sure a sponsor will get to you pretty soon..

No way!!! This is something that me and my wife and step-son all do together. It was something she wanted to do, and I was sceptical of and became the hobbyist... I am just one of those people that do not like the run of the mill items, and new to this so asking others for their suggestions.
