What are good gloves to buy?

    Not a glove but if all you want to do is flip over a snail once in a while or move something small you could also try getting one of the stir spoons they use in wine making kits. These are about 25 inches long and have a small 2 inch spoon at one end and a larger 4 inch spoon at the other end. Or you can try an acrylic rod (the type used to open and close blinds). It will save on gloves and it’s a bit faster to do something quick.

    that could be an option so when i won't have to put on gloves just to flip a snail. But when i get corals and need to glue the frags in the tank i'll still need a set of gloves.

    That's a good point about long utensils just for minimal things in the tank. I use a $2 reflective driveway marker rod that I got at Home Depot and cut down a little bit for poking/prodding/flipping/stirring/slightly adjusting things. It really cuts down on the amount of times I have to put my arms in the tank, even though I don't get a rash.
