    Watch your test kit. That sounds very high. If you are using epsom salts 2000 means you pushed into the salinity with mg sulfate. Like the song says, "Do what you want but one thing leads to another."

    a good magnesium level is three times the level of calcium you want to maintain. i usually go a little higher.

    example, i run ca at 420ppm. my mg is at 1400. magnesium should deplete very slowly so be careful.
