I think that will be up to your LFS. You could try craigslist.

you could probably post a localized ad for people in your area, you might get a good chunk of$$ for it! thats a cool piece for sure, is there still a clam in it?

I'm having the same issue in my biocube. My green mushroom sits on my prettiest rock in the top middle of my tank getting blasted all day then my main PH turns off at night. He seems to be handling the high flow pretty well but he hasn't been nearly his huge size that he once was in lower flow areas. I wish I could get him off that rock and trade him in, but TBH i dont think many LFS want to "buy-back" my leathers (xenia kenya devils[mushroom])

The mushrooms may let go if they don't like the area they're in (like too much flow). You could give it some time & see if they decide to move off the clam.

I didn't know that. How much time does that take? I've only seen them shrivel up IME.

They have been on this clam and location in the tank for months. The only thing that upset them was the tank going completely dark. I am looking at them right now and they seem very happy at the moment. They only spit their guts out once in a while.

No clam in it, just the shell calcified open. I found it at PetCo of all placed for 39.99.

if your selling it to a LFS, expect roughly 1/3rd to 1/2 of what they would sell it for... possibly more depending on if its store credit.

Mushrooms are softies and they are mobile.

If stressed they may expel their guts, but they should recover...

And if they do and they don't like where they are, they will literally 'get up' and move to where they like to be. You might not see them.... but they will be there...

Some of my mushrooms 'walked' around to crevices in my rubble pile where I normally couldn't see them...

Point is, they should take care of themselves...
