I have Bennie and Jett, it's an Elton John thing. Two female cats that someone dumped when they were 3 weeks old, that was 3 years ago, uggggg. I love cats too but they have put a dent in my tank activities.

Put a couple $.05 goldfish in there to entice the cat during the leak test.

I'll weigh in fwiw :) - I wouldn't go plexiglass because it seems to cloud over easily - I'd go glass or egg crate - when are you looking at setting up the tank?? you've been so patient in waiting to get a tank up and going.

    Hi, Mindy,

Within the next month it should have water in it. If I have to go with a lid I am going with the BRS DIY and just hope the cats learned from jumping in once while it is cycling rather than later when it has corals.

Thanks again to everyone that weighed in.

    :D

I was just at the LFS today and saw a rimless tank with small clips that held the lid in place. The clips made a little lip for the lid to rest on while maintaining a mostly rimless look. I don't remember the brand of the tank, but it looked like a good solution for rimless tanks.

Thanks Jerry, I'll check it out.

I went to a big name pet distributor tonight. I can get salt and sand there and food but that is pretty much it.

They did however have Snow Flake Clowns for 30.00. I knew if I waited long enough (7 years) the price would come down lol.

    Stand next, then water......woo wooo!!!

So glad to hear you got a tank corailline. I always thought this forum wasn't quite complete without you having one.
