what are the ranges for test kit

    hi all me again can anyone tell me what are the correct ranges for my reef tank as i have bought it second hand i have all the test kits but do not know what the correct and safe ppgs i should have in tank i have found range for most things but cant find range for nitrate and nitrate all help needed many thanks newby

    in a reef, nitrate should be less than 10ppm, although some people prefer it at 0. This range will not normally cause any harm. Im assuming you meant nitrite when you said nitrate twice, nitrite should be at 0ppm
