what are these brown fuzzy things

    What are these things? The are about a cm tall and have a skinny stalk and fuzzy top. Came on my live rock when I got it

    its hard to tell, but almost looks like hydroids. if thats the case, they are not good

    Colonial hydroids

    A nasty invader; hard to get rid of and they sting everything.

    its the one huge rock that everything is on. Only a biocube 14 so thats the one darn rock that I can't remove

    I'm curious as to why these are bad. I'm pretty sure they've been in my tank since I started it, and they don't seem to bother anything. Are they the same thing?

    They're next to the Sexy, and around the Zoa's.

    Its hard to see in your pictures but mine are around zoas too

    Well the focus of that picture wasn't the hydroids. But if other people have had issues with them, go for it and remove them. I have had 0 problems with them, I think they give my tank a more natural look.
