    +1 on asterinas. As for what they do, you're looking at it. They appear to be eating the algae off your back wall!

    becareful with these lil' fellows, they can sometimes attack clams- unknowingly

    If they're on the meaty part of a clam or coral, pick them off to be safe. If they're on the glass or rock, they're algae eaters. They hang out on what they're feeding on.
