    Hi all,
I was wondering if the picture of the worm is a bristle worm, or anything bad for my new tank, and I don't have a clue what the other thing could be so any help is greatly appreciated.

Bristle worm in the first picture. Nothing to worry about. Second picture I can't tell what I'm supposed to be looking at, but if it's the small feather duster at the top of the rock, again, good news for your new tank.

Not the feather duster but the fat brown tube looking thing a little below it. There is something black right at the top of it.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The second image looks like it could be a palys closed up or some nub of a soft coral or zoanthid that has been without light.

Nothing to worry about "for your tank inhabitants." Yes, I was once cleaning out my tank and ran into one of these with my hand. Oh boy was that fun.

FWIW, most "bristles" are calcium-based and dissolve quite nicely in vinegar (just soak the affected area for a few minutes). There are some that are silica-based however, depending on the critter, and these can be removed with duct tape or glue.
