    Hey.....great that you have a Sea Apple. Most are too afraid to keep one. Mine is a year old and doing great.

    The algae that they are asking about is semi-transparent and is the size of a grain of sand. The Neomeris annulata is much thicker than a grain of sand is isn't transparent.

    Check out this picture, though.

    Would the presence of hair be at all noticeable on the molting?

    Awesome!! What do you feed yours and how often? What is the size of the tank you have him in? What other creatures do you have in there? Wow-- It seems like much longer, but I just realized that we've only had ours for a little over three months.

    Even as a juvenile?

    Yeah, but you have a molt, not the actual crab. The molt can be a completely different color from the crab itself.
