On this rock above the mushroom is a weird ball like thing that has gotten lighter in color...it was a dark blue but is getting light towards a white color and has got tiny holes in it....any idea what it is?...and on the crab there are these weird lil spots that are also comig up on some rocks in the tank...ay idea what they are?

I think that might be some kind of sponge under the mushroom.

Looks to me to be the foot of the mushroom stretching to have a kid. Mine has done this 4 times in the past month.

It is not part of the mushroom....It is a long way away from the foot

    Very nice looking coral, Danny..

    Later, Larry

I also have something like that on liverock, much bigger.. found out it was a sponge.
BUT, looks nothing like one.. And is growing.. But not harming anything..

Looks like a tunicate to me. They are harmless sea squirts.
