    My hippo is named Dori. The RIP clown was Nemo. The yellow damsel is Sunshine. The Yellow-Tail Damsel is bluey. The Three Striped Damsel is, yes, Stripey. The 8-line wrasse is yet unnamed. The Coral Beauty is named Karlee (my son named the most beautiful fish in the tank after a girl he hangs out with---Awwwwwww).

    When fish are named by children.......

    Nope she went home crying and daddy built it a dog house.....When she gets a car for a gift and wont keep it clean then I will encourage her folks to make her get rid of it....lol...Now that I will adopt.....

    lol thats to cute :) did he tell her about naming the fish after her? She would love it!!!! Might even get a lil smoooch on the cheek....Watch it John...they grow up fast....time flies

    I once started a thread like this cuz I was curious too.....well I name everything in my tank also....all movie themed and maybe everyone can help me with my newest....here is my list so far though....

    Maroon clown - Ricky
    Perc clown - Lucy (but if you ask my daughter it is Nemo) Obviously these two from I Love Lucy!

    Starry Blenny- Picard (star trek)
    Kole Tang- Patsy (Loretta just didn't fit but Patsy cline was in the Coal Miners Daughter)
    Arch Eye Hawk- Gabriel (being an arch-angel all movies call them Gabriel)
    Yellow watchman and Pistol Shrimp- Edith and Archie (All In the Family)
    Dusky Jawfish- Dug (UP)
    Sally Lightfoot Crab- Sally (Cars)
    Pink Spot Goby- Rizzo (Grease)
    I have a snail that I don't remember what kind he is but he has a long nose- Gonzo

    Im sure I am missing someone but you get the jist!

    So I just got a Sailfin tang! Any ideas? I was thinking some name from Cape Fear but I cant think of any other sailing movies!

    Oh Lord no, he won't tell her. He likes her (like a girlfriend), but she likes him like a brother. Jeez, that sounds like me allllllllll through High School. The lines I hated hearing were....

    "I love you like a brother."----let's pretend we live in the movie Deliverence.
    "You are a great friend."----Yes, I am...let's put the word Boy in front of it.
    "I don't want to ruin it."----I do.
    "It'll change things."----That's the idea.

    So that is what he is dealing with now. He just flat out doesn't want to push it. Whenever he pushes it, or a friend narcs him off to her, she backs away. So he keeps his distance emotionally. He is learning early, at the tender age of nine.
