    Are you referring to the base of the coral receding? I bought it like this I have not seen any fresh tissue loss

    Yeah, there's some old skeleton showing, but if that's stable it's nothing to worry about.

    hmm you could be right, its placed a little lower than mid level in my tank. its a plating coral right?
