What are your reefing pet peeves?

Slow down and take it easy and you wont get water all over the floor, and while you are at it enjoy a cold beer or four, although I dont know what the legal drinking age is where you are at.

 

Its 18 down in aust. Itd also the main reason i didn't do a semester overseas in the states, couldn't handle being 'under-age' again. Its a bad habbit that i've obtained by only allowing myself to have a beer or two after i do the water change ect.

 

hahaha your lucky im still "under age" but only for 5 more months it does suck, i loved being over in spain for a week where i could actually order a drink in restaurants and go to pubs

 

My clown fish taking sea weed from a clip and feeding it to my anemone.
snails deciding to take a stroll on a heater thats turned on.
snails falling on their back.

 

Carpet floors

 

When spot feeding LPS and fish snagging the food right out or off of it.

Owning a bow-front tank, real pain for weekly maintenance. (Pain when cleaning film algae)

Vibration noise coming from sump area in the middle of the night.

Skimmer issues.

Salt creep/Getting water on a freshly wiped down tank.

 

LFS that don't attempt to remove dead fish or keep their tanks clean, and overcharge for everything in the store.

Goby's that toilet paper your tank by spreading sand over every possible piece of coral.

Snails that bulldoze your frags and you come home to a damaged piece of coral since it sat upside down in your sand all day.

Having to contort yourself in ways that aren't human to work underneath the tank.

 

Now those are funny

 

pet peeves

I hate it when you move a turbo snail over a spot of really stubborn algae
and then a week and a half later, you find its moved somewhere else

I hate it when my mother in law is looking at my reef tank, because it means she has probably moved in again
