What brand of salt do you use?

I know I'm going to get a lot of opinions on this subject but what brand of salt do you use and why? Personally I've been using Reef Crystals for 2+yrs. I've not tried anything else. I don't dose trace elements and am wondering if RC is the right salt for keeping SPS? I only have 3 lil acros who's colors I'm sure could be much more then what they are. Their growth is great however as is the growth of all my other corals.

 

I use red sea pro salt. I've only used it for the life of my tank1 month. All the coral in my tank ie growing great.

 

My current favorite for cost/quality is Coralife.

 

I recently decided to tried out Aquavitro Salinity, and I will never go back. I run an auto doser for calcium and alkalinity, and since switching to Salinity, I've had to turn them down every week. I'm now running them at about half what I was before, and without the big clams in my tank, I doubt I would need to dose at all.

 

With a tank my size (26g) my concern is the salts longevity. I make about 5-10g's a month also I'd love to get away without dosing if possible. I have a clam though along with some LPS and 3 lil sps

 

Tropic Marin Pro-Reef from about two years with good results but want to try Preis.

 

I'm using Reef Crystals. Seems to keep all happy

I use Indian Ocean Reef Crystals for over a year but I will be trying out a new salt.

 

I recently switched from Tropic Marin, to
"Korallen Zucht Reefers Best Salt", this salt is quite expensive, but ive found i have to stop dosing with 2 clams, and lots of sps. My calc, alk, and mag all stay healthy for the 7 day period, ive been able to switch from dosing to just weekly water changes and my params stay good. Polyp extension is great, just some tinkering to do with the leds to get better color.
