    Salifert for me.
The Elos is ok but not as easy to use. If your MG is above 1500 the Elos will read it. I think the Salifert doesn't go that high on the scale.... so as long as your Mg is normal salifert is fine.
    I haven't used the others.

my salifert only measures to 1500. 1600 = 1500 in this kit.

but... so what :) I only keep at 1450-1500 anyway

You can use the Salifert to easily measure above 1500. You just fill the syringe up all the way again. When you start dropping it in, it will eventually change color. Add these results to 1500 from the first test.

Here are easy to follow instructions for a Salifert kit to measure greater than 1500:

    1. Follow instructions for one test to 1500 (full syringe).

    2. Fill another Syringe and add drops until color changes.

    3. Use the chart and find the value. Add this value to 1500.

For example, if you get to 150 on the second syringe, add 150 to 1500, and your Mag is 1650!

You can put the leftover contents of the syringe back in the bottle from whence it came.

That is how the Seachem test works as well for over 1250.

Thanks! I did not realize that.

Over 1250? Sheesh. Thanks for the 'don't use Seachem' tip ;):cheesy:

Heh. Well if filling a syringe to 1ml again is tough, then you're welcome! :)
