What brand

    For last 3 years I run 150w MH 10.000K on my reef tank. I have a nice grow on my corals. As suplement I have ATI 2-blue plus, 1-purple and 1 -actinic. Im happy with them. But I need to change my MH now I think they are too yellow.It is time anyway. What brand would you suggest. I heard good opinions about Phoenix 14.000K but they are really blue, It would be huge jump for me. What about Ushio 14.000K. Any advice, please.

    this site has a scroll feature and lets you see the difference on different brand of 150 watt MH lamps

    the principle should be similar for 150 watt options

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I used a Phoenix and really like it, a tad too blue, but it burns off some over the first couple months.

    Last bulbs was a Radium 20k, love it initially, seven months in and the coloration shift is way too noticeable, I will not go with the Radium again, but I REALLY liked it initially.

    im using phoenix right now and cant complain. came from a 10k coralife and that was veryy yellow. dont have any experience with any other bulbs but from the looks of the phoenix, im happy

    I had a Current Outer Orbit with 150 watt HQI - I had used their bulbs, they werent that bad. Seemed to work well.

    I also have used PHX and those were nice, but very blue IMO.

    If you are using actinics, I do like Ushio 150 watt 10K.

    Marine Depot sells them.
