What Burrowing fish should I get?

That's a pretty fish! $100+ krikey

 

Some bigger lfs have them for under 100 I found one for 80 a few times. I know they are pricey but damn they are pretty

 

My BSJ was $130 at my LFS. They are worth it though. Their spots fluoresce under the actinics Awesome personalities too. Just do your research on them before buying a Jawfish.

 

yes the yellow watchman is fine without the pistol shrimp. I have had mine for about 4 years now. I tried introduction a pistol shrimp, even put it right in his cave, but I havnt seen the shrimp since.

 

Be sure your substrate is deep enuff and that your rockwork is in direct contact with the tank bottom. This will prevent the fish from burrowing beneath it, as they almost always do, and the structure will remain stable.

 

This is usually the case.My friend hadn't seen his in over a year and thought it was dead.He found a molt yesterday.I had a tank that you could see from underneath.That IME is the only way you really ever get to see them.
