what came first(not the chicken or the egg)

    hi everyone, just wondered if anyone new the quick answer to my questio...what coral came first, the soft corals or the hard corals?? simple as that really!!!!:)

    the chicken came first for the chicken egg thing and hard corals came first

    I believe you're wrong on both accounts. ;)

    I believe the first corals were free-floating polyps that evolved into attaching itself onto substrate.

    maybe the coral but the chicken definatley came first

    I would assume soft corals developed first because jellyfish were around a few million years before corals I think. However we mainly only find SPS fossils because of there calcium skeleton, So I can't really claim to know the right answer.

    well i dont know about the corals but the chicken did come first because lets say the thing that came before the chicken was a hawk( just as an example) when it mated one of the babies had a mutation which turned it into a chicken the egg that its in is still a hawk egg therefore the chicken came first.

    not so, b/c the egg would contain the first chicken. It has the chromosomes that will develop into the chicken.

    but its not a chicken egg its a hawk egg so the chicken came first before the chicken egg

    no,it would be a chicken egg that came from a hawk ;D,but where did the hawk come from?

    hawk just came as a random example not really saying it was a hawk just taking the place of whatever animal came before the chicken and no it would look like a hawk egg and it would be a hawk egg just the chicken inside would be different
