    Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a good camera to take pics of my tank with, and I want to be able to take some pretty close-up pictures, but I don't need something professional. My budget is $250, and I have a coupon for 15% off Kodak, so I'm looking at this one -> KODAK EASYSHARE Z981 Digital Camera . Does anyone have experience with the Kodak Z981, or have another recommendation for me??

    Thanks!
    Gabby

I have no experience with cameras at all...but if you do get this one, let me know how it is. It is in my budget too. I looked at Nikon and added it to the Aston Martin, and 1000G Reef Setup on my PowerBall list. :)

I have a Nikon S8000, but every picture I take with it needs retouching since they all come up washed out. I wouldn't go with this one lol.

My Nokia N900 phone camera took much better pictures because of that (and the fact that it was a pretty decent camera to begin with, if not a bit low on the resolution side).

I have a Kodak easy share although I'm not certain of the model number. It takes pretty good tank pics when you are in the Marco setting.

I just use my iPhone 4 cam and love it, i know that doesn't really help you just adding.

Posting pic examples would be cool to see also.

Canon pretty much makes the best point and shoots(Debatable). I have seen and used several of the Power Shot cameras and they take great pictures. If you could boost your budget up just a bit the Power Shot D10 is an awesome camera. Its 300.00 but is waterproof shockproof and freezeproof.

+1 on the D10. It takes awesome underwater photos, and works great in the tank, too!

I have a Canon Power Shot SX20IS. I know it is out of your spending range. But I would suggest looking into Canon Power Shot models.
