    Thanks everyone!

I decided to go with the Kodak Z981. I would love to get one of the Power Shots, but I am a college student, so $250 was already a big price tag for me. It's on backorder right now, but I can't wait to start filling my threads with pictures :D

I use a Nikon P90. 12mp. 24X wide angle zoom(this is where the term "meg-zoom camera" came from, well cameras with a high optical zoom). Basically the Nikon version of that Kodak you posted, just with a tilting screen. It's a great camera, although if I could afford it I would go with a slr I would pick up the Nikon D40 or D3000. The newer model of my camera is out(P100). I heard it's not as good. I have not personally used the P100.

Oh...I also just noticed there is no "menu" on the Kodak...This will be much less customizable to settings of your liking. (no manual settings, mainly automatic, like most point & shoots)

I have a Nikon D60 DSLR, and Samsung SL600 point and shoot. The Samsung takes surprisingly good pictures for the price. I even strapped it to the bottom of one of my RC planes and it took good aerial video.
