what can i do?!!!

    Ok so i have a 150 gallon shallow tank with a 100 gallon sump. i am not going to be able to put live rock in do i have other options to replace the backteria the live rock holds?(bio balls etc...

    Can you put in dry rock? If so, that'll become liverock ASAP

    just out of curiosity why no live rock? a fare share of bioballs in the sump could do the trick

    I am not using rock because the tank is a frag tank. and with the all the equipment im my sump i cant fit to much live rock.

    but you can put live rock in your actual tank or no? just a small layer maybe might help with adding some bacteria.

    I could probably add about 50 lbs to my sump. but not the display part.

    If it is a frag tank you will not need a lot of rock any way unless you plan on having lots of fish in it.

    So how much rock would you recomend? total there is 200 gallons and latter on i would likecto have 2 fish

    I think the 50 lbs in your sump would be a great start. I would buy dry rock for the DT and drill holes in it for frag plugs. Maybe another 50lbs.
