you need brighter lights to get a sea anemone of any kind. what type of lights? T5 or T8?
if T5 then you need more prob around 4-6 total. or you could get MH. i have one 150W MH bulb over my 55 but i only keep medium to low light corals. the more light needed the bigger the light needed. anemones need a lot of light.

Def need higher intensity lighting. I would go at least with a 4-bulb T5 fixture with quality reflectors and good PAR bulbs like ATI's. If you really want an anemone I would say make sure your tank is stable, at least 6 months old & stick with Rose or Green Bubble tipped. I have 3 under my 5-bulb fixture and all are doing great. Be prepared to screen off powerheads and any intakes as they will wander to find a place they're happy. Mine all footed on a rock high up near the lights so have rocks stacked up close or they may endlessly wander.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Allowing the tank to age and become established to an age of at the very least 6 months to 1 year will greatly increase the success rate of keeping these animals long term. T5 or metal halid is really the only way to go if you want to keep senstive inverts. The urchin needs the development of film algae and coralline to do well.

Kudo's to you for asking before buying impulsively.

I currently have 3 anemones in my main display 83 gallon...
I'm running a 250 watt 25000k aqua medic HQI halide unit...
I have 1 green BTA and a 1 yellow tip red sebae anemone...
both are loving my new lighting unit and they get a taste of actinics early in the morning and in the evening, before the night strikes...

I'd say as long as you have good water current's being we'll circulated in your tank...your anemones should be ok ...
keep in mind somedays anemone's are happier then others....

somedays I have my BTA's showing beautful bulk and happiness, other days i see my Green just looking like a mop drooped over, anyone care to Implement on this behaviour...

Dude, 2 T8 bulbs aren't nearly as strong as your lighting.
