I dont have pics up, but it looks like coraline but then when you get close its purple slime like or film is better description. I also have what looks like snot with a bubble at the tip i manually remove this but what can be causing this???? also my water is looking funny uptop i saw bubbles forming is this due to the new algae or might there be something wrong with my water all params seem normal.

    New tank?
Sounds like cyano (slimy film) and dinoflagellates (bubble snot looking stuff). Keep manually removing, cut the light cycle down or do a 3 day lights out. Pretty much all you can do. Very common in new tanks, we're just coming to the end of both of them in ours.

Do you run GFO? I had a problem with green cyano growing aggressively on my sand bed and the GFO stopped it in it's tracks.

Yes, we didn't like it either, but it helps to know it's normal and will work itself out LOL.
Too many people get too excited about the stages of algae in new tanks and end up quitting because of it. Once the tank gets more stable, the issues resolve themselves.
