    I have a 20 gallon nano reef
    2 peppermint shrimp
    2 Mexican turbo snails
    1 blue leg hermit crab
    2 clowns
    1 lawnmower blenny
    1 coral banded shrimp
    some bristle worms

I want to get rid of the hermit crab. He keeps tipping over my corals even if they are glued. I might want to get rid of the coral banded as he is getting violent.

If I get rid of the hermit crab, should I replace him? or do I already have too much? If I also get rid of the coral banded is it okay to go with a cleaner shrimp or will the cleaner shrimp fight with the peppermints.

    Agreed

I would get rid of the crab. They are stupid and boring and I hate them to death. Take him out in the woods and set him free in the wild. That will show his smug little ass (or stupid shell).;D

If you have a sand bed, a black cucumber works great.

That's a pretty tiny CuC. I've got close to 200 snails in my 55 gallon.

Unless you've got some serious hair algae and plan on keeping a ton of it, I don't think a lawnmower blenny will last long in a 20 gallon.

I'm not a fan of hermits either - because they steal food from my LPS.

I'd recommend you get about 30 dwarf ceriths, around 5 FL Ceriths, and a half doze nerites.

I dont know what kind of dwarf hermit crab you have that is big enough to tip over a coral but if that is really the case, you may want to find a diffrient glue or mounting technique.

1 hermit crab should not be causing that much greef in a 20g. I have over 15 in a 46gal nun of which are strong enough to knock over there own shell much less a coral.

Its ironic because turbo snails are the kings of bulldozing things over not hermits unless its an anenome hermit or somthing that size. What kinda coral are we talking here?

I have peppermint and cleaner and a pistol and they all do fine however thats in a 46 gal.

1 Lawnmower blenny will do fine in a 20 gall. Thats actually optimal size for him. You can even supplement his diet with seaweed.
