Mine is blue, but I think I will do black next time, I think it makes the corals stand out a bit better.

I use black, but I saw a very dark blue once and it was really nice looking. Most of the blues are cheap looking. But this blue was almost black it was so dark, it was a great color.

Blue latex paint for now. But I think aquariums can look fantastic in both blue or black.

You could do a comprimise and actually just get a really dark blue. Maybe?

When we were making this decision, I was actually thinking of doing a gradient style of both colors. The top of the glass blue, fading into black. Don't know how that would look though.

On my tank we have it between two rooms so it has 3sided view, with one of the short sides being not viewable. It also contains the overflow so we left it bare since there wasn't much to cover anyway.

Royal Blue Rustoleum. Check out my tank thread in my signature, there are instructions on exactly how I did it (while the tank was running) along with pics in the first couple pages.

SOOOO whats up with keeping it plain, just don't want to see the wires? I haven't even thought of painting the back huh see thats why I come on here. I learn something new every time. How do you do it, on the back I guess right (I mean not in the tank)? Spray it on and let dry, cause I would think if you tried to brush it you would have a ton of brush marks.....Im gonna use a sponge then put him back into the tank lololol.
