I feed phyto and plankton. I just started using Cyclopese. I have a fuge providing live food.

I was dosing Seachem Reef Plus. It says it provides trace, vitamins, and aminos. My jug is empty.

So what do you use/like/recommend. Besides food, what do you supplement?

Calcium, mag, alk, sometimes I toss in a cap-full of strontium & molybdenum. Other than that, nothing.

I just do bi-weekly water changes (15%) salt mix has enough goodies in it.

I was doing 15% every week. My chemistry was good, and I had next to nothing for nitrates and phosphates. I thought I was doing too much. Well, let's say unneeded.

My fuge has been going for a couple of months now, and I dose trace. So I figured I would back off the WCs. I have done some large changes redoing my rock and other things. I was going to get back to something regular and do say the same 14 gallons every 2 or 3 weeks.

There are lots of different opinions about this here--It just works for me. Since I changed to Oceanic Salt, I have never had to dose calcium or Mag again. My Ca stays around 480. Mag stays around 1350.:)

I just use calcium, alkalinity and magnesium supplements to keep up with demand. I occasionally feed Reef Chili and Rod's food which contains some small stuff some corals can eat. I rely on weekly 10-15% water changes to keep up with trace elements. I'm considering using some prodibio and or vodka on my new tank though eventually.

I have Coral Vite and Essential Elements. The bottles of both says that they should be used in conjunction with each other. It seems like every time I use them I have either a cyano or gha outbreak a week later. I have since stopped using them. Now I just dose Reef Complete which adds calcium, magnesium and strontium.
