Thank you, I believe my tank is well on its way to being mature. I still have a lot to learn but my levels have been great and all my fish and corals are thriving and fragging on their own. Its fun to watch them grow. I have 4-31 watt bulbs in a T5HO on my tank. So about 3.4 watts per gallon. Do I have a better chance at getting them to host a BTA then i would a Coral? I have a fairly large frogspawn near the top of my tank and they show no intrerest in it. I think I might be ready to take my chances

What are the dimensions of your tank? Specifically the height. That would give people a better idea on how to evaluate your lighting.

I personally have seen several times where clowns host zoas like some other people have mentioned. As far as your question about the BTA, I would say you have equal chances of them hosting a coral as you do a BTA or anything else. Mine host the filter intake lol

I have a clown who hosted to a 6" shell with a hole in the top on my sand bed. It swims in and out, sit in it, and sleeps in it.

how tall is the tank and wide? I think for a 4 bulb T5HO it has to be 18 and under to get that par readings good enough.

It does sound like you are ready, after seeing pics of it I'm almost certain. I would say take the chance. If your tank is supporting LPS then a nem should be fine. Watts per gallon is outdated, and giving us depth would help. Looking at your scape I would build it a bit higher (4"ish)
Then try a nem! Good luck!

I picked up a RBTA 6 weeks into a new tank. It's doing just fine and split yesterday (it's now been in the tank about 3-4 months). Parameters have been kept pretty spot on the entire time I've owned it. I've had an easier time with it than I had with freshwater to be honest. Now I just wish my clowns would go into the RBTA...
