I have seen different types of euphyllia next too each other many times.

I assume the same species can touch. Other than that I would worry.

All euphyllias can be near each from what I have read. Otherwise only the same species can be next to each other. You want to give 3" to 4" gaps between most LPS and and other corals with closer to 8" to 12" around the galaxea unless you have it in a high flow area. SPS can be closer but will damage each other if the make contact. Pocilloporids have sweeper tenticles and need to be kept farther from other corals though. Zoanthids, leathers and softies can be close to each other but will try to grow over each other. Leathers produce a toxin that is used to keep other corals from growing around them. This toxin can be detrimental to SPS so you will need to run activated carbon if you plan on having both types of coral. Zoanthids can be placed next to other irregardless of species.
