I have a 4 x 39 t5 ho tek light. Bulbs are 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI 1200k aquablue, and one UV Lighting Actinic

For flow i currently have 2 mj 1200 powerheads, i plan to get the mj mods

I don't want to get xenia, gsp, or mushrooms. I would like to eventually get a crocea clam if possible.

So please shout out what you think these lights could support. I know i want to start out with zoas and polyps, and eventually get into lps and sps

well first off, your tank is not long enough for the mods i would not go that route, id just get either a k2 and a k3 or two k3s, trust me, one modded mj was to much flow in my 55 frag tank!

Also with that light you will be able to keep any corals. Some might need to be more near the top, but that light will support any thing you would like.

yea to create more flow i was thinking about getting the mods, or saving up for one vortech mp20 or mp10. I'll also go look into the koralia*sp* ph's then if needed. And sweet, i'm stoked that i can eventually keep a clam! lol at least it's nice to hear, that i wont have to worry about lighting needs for the corals, just flow

One vortech mp20 in that tank would be choice. ;) You should be able to keep pretty much everything with those lights in that tank.

Zoas will grow in a toilet bowl if you leave the light on, I think.

WOW... im almost dumbfounded by such a wonderful statement for someone who hasnt played around with corals yet. :) If you plan on being a zoa and stoney coral person you will be thankful for staying away from weeds like those.

But remeber stoneys are definitely more challenging. It will take some time before your completely successful on keeping the midlevel to advanced corals. So be patient. ;)

haha yes, i'm not going to be spending this much money on this tank and light just to grow weeds. lol if i wanted weeds i could of saved myself a ton of money.

Yea i plan on going slow, my only worry with going slow is lol i will probably be moving out of the house in a few years so i hope i don't go too slow.

But yea i'm going to go slow with corals as i have to, shoot, i'm going to wait another month or so before i add my next fish, and that's really slow just for that. So i'll have no problem with going slow with corals
