What corals should I get?

    Actually, it depends on the fish.... If the fish you are getting will grow no bigger than 1" give or take, then yes 1" per gallon. If the fish can grow to say triple their young size, then of course its different. You cant keep a 20" fish in a 20 gal tank....thats obvious.

    I have known the 1" of fish per gallon to generally be freshwater. Your tank will always be better understocked than overstocked

    The general rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish for every three gallons of water. Fresh water is an inch a gallon. Saltwater will not hold enough oxygen properly to maintain that kind of stock without problems, that is why you can have a lot more fish in a FW tank.

    Ihave never went over 1 fish for 8 gallons of water...depends on the adult size of the fish and the skimmer also.....and dont go and get a jebo skimmer either they are cheap in more ways than just the price

    You guys are right....I was thinking FW for some unknown reason...lol not enough coffee I guess.
