well t5 are supposedly suppose to be better then power compacts. I don't know why i went with vho's(t5's older cousin) and metal halides. i would tell you to get metal halides.

jmo, I'd suggest MH lighting. Alot of options are achievable w/T lighting though.

T-5's are your best bet in that tank size

Well Lunar are just that . Night lights. If you are keeping softies, zoas and shrooms. T-5 's are great. If you plan on keeping sps's Metal halides are the way to go. Good luck ! Keep us posted. :)

WR elaborate on this. I have 350 watts of my on my 50 gallon tank sitting about 10 inches above the water. why t-5's. (by the way I'm not knocking them, I just want the reasoning)

There is plenty of evidence on this site as well as around the internet where t5 lighting can support all types of corals (including sps).

Alright well i look in to the t5 lighting. Is there any certain models you guys perfer?

The reason i asked about the Coralife Lunar light, is because my friends dad has that light it has like 3 or 4 different lights in it including the LED blue lights to represent moon light (I think) and he has great luck with that light.

With MH you may have almost any coral that you want. You will need a chiller.
