Thank you all for your replies and advice.

When we got a close look at the aquarium we had purchased, we were disappointed to see that it was pretty scratched up. We sold it and bought a 60 Gallon 30L X 25W X 25H.
So far, I have a deep sand bed (50lbs) and 3 pieces of live rock (more ordered). The light is the one that came with the aquarium which is working ok right now, but I know I need to upgrade when we get ready to add more stuff to the tank. I am using a skimmer and a marineland biowheel filter.

We have been looking at lots of videos and plans for building our own sump refugium, which is why I didn't invest in an expensive filter. We have a 20 gallon aquarium which we will use for this. I am still trying to decide which pump I need for the sump. ???

My water has been testing perfectly for about 3 weeks. I guess the introduction of the new LR is going to change that, but hopefully it will be very temporary.

For animals, we have 2 clowns, a snail (can't remember type), and a coral banded shrimp (regretting that purchase). I have ordered 5 red-legged hermit crabs and 5 nassarius snails. Will the shrimp kill any of those? If my rock does not have any spaghetti worms, peanut worms, or bristle worms on them, can I purchase those somewhere? At what point should I introduce worms into my sand bed?

I have been reading lots of threads here (some of them from 2004 8) ), and will continue to reading. I promise to try to find some answers before I ask the questions.

    Thank you!
