It is not untracable. You can test a dogs urine and ethylene glycol produces certian crystals in the urine. A cat will die before the crystals are made but a dog you can save and definatively say it was ethylene glycol.

So what have we learned today, class? Poisoning dogs is bad. But poisoning cats is perfectly fine as long as ethylene glycol is used. (i'm not a cat person, can you tell?)

For the record, I have never poisoned a cat. My dog does a perfect job of keeping them off of our territory.

For test water, I just sink the stuff. It's probably more powerful than Drain-O, which might be a good thing?

I'm slightly leaning towards tree hugging. So I had hoped someone might chime in to say something along the lines of

"Yes, I send it down the sink but, ideally, you should BLAH it"

And then say what BLAH is... I try to recycle, I throw batteries away "properly", etc... (we have a battery drop off center at work).

Glad to know I'm not the only one sending it down the drain.

I do agree though that our water reclamation is top notch...

I work with paint and all the chemicals that go with paint and the only way to properly dispose of any chemical is to get in touch with a harmful waste disposal company and pay them to take it. Then they do whatever they do to clean it up. If you want to do the over-the-top tree hugger thing then the right thing to do would be to put it in a 5 gallon bucket when done and when the bucket is full pay someone to dispose of it. Probably 100 bones for each bucket, I know a 55 gallon drum of liquids is anywhere from $300 on up in my area. That's my best guess. Meanwhile, I'm gonna stick to tossing it down the sink or in the big white dog next door's water bowl!! More effective than the bb gun!
