I'm just wondering what others who have a royal gramma feed them. I've got formula 1 frozen food and marine flakes flake food. Not sure if he'll go after the flakes or not and don't want him on formula 1 only. Any input would be great!

As a carnivore, the Royal Gramma Basslet will do well on a diet of meaty fare mysid shrimp, [glow=red,2,300]and quality frozen preparations[/glow]

i feed crickets to those that are super picky and as treats to things.
. The crickets are miracle workes for super picky fish, eg.....those impossible to keep anthias and other super picky feeders, not impossible. Pinhead (newborn) crickets (1-4mm) will eat anything, i load them with ocean nutrition, krill, and plankton, plop em in the tank and get unbeatable feeding results....i guess my secret is out.... ;)

I know for lizards, frogs, and most other reptiles the legs are the least digested part, all they contain are acidic fluids used to flex and retract the legs....like hydrolics. But that is only for big crickets..pinheads would require some sort of neurosurgical tool...seriously they are only like a 2-3mm's or so. I order mine offling, make sure the pinheads are as tiny as possible.

Wow! I learned something about crickets! That's cool.

I used to feed my gramma Formula 1 and 2. It didn't seem too picky. I bet it would try all of the above. Great fish.
