    What do you think this is a juv red sea sailfin or a juv pacific sailfin.......When I bought it I was told it was a red sea??? And does anyone have any Id tips on how to tell the difference???
    Also here are a couple of pics of my new queen angelfish I got from Cramer's Caribbean Critters!!!

    Forgot to mention, I also notice that a desjardini's tails is only partially yellow while the sailfin's is completely yellow.

    Yea I duno I looked at so many pics and they look the same....I was at my LFS last week and they has a red sea about the same size as mine and it didnt look anything like mine does....it looked wayyy sweet

    looks like a red sea to me, i have a reg sailfin and urs looks different then mine ill post pics of mine tmrw

    It is hard to say really. I would guess RSSFT, but when it gets older you will easily be able to tell.

    I have what was sold to me as a pacific sailfin tang, and it has the scribbles and freckles on its face like a desjardini. It eats valonia as well, and some say only the desjardini's eat valonia algae.

    It is possible these 2 species are creating hybrids. I have a feeling mine is a hybrid.

    Idk....by my untrained eye kinda looks like a Sailfin tang Zebrasoma Veliferum. Only goin by the tail fin its almost completly yellow .. But in time will tell as it mature's..
