What do you guys think of these two tanks I'm considering purchasing?
Thank you so much in advance for any help!

I found this tank nearby me...currently operating as SW tank with coral and includes a sump... Does it seem like a good deal?
Salt water Reef Fish Tank Aquarium

    - He stated there is algae growing... is that a problem?
    - Also, I know using used rock/coral could be harmful...is it better to buy new stuff?

    VS

This stand that was used for freshwater (Which I would be converting to SW) that includes a filter pump? 55 Gallon Aquarium With Oak Stand

One other question! Can I use standard filters that you would see in FW tanks in a SW tank instead of a sump?

Its a decent deal IMO. I would like to know what kind of equipment he has listed. like what kind of skimmer. Its hard to tell from the picture and stuff. I dont see it listed but does the tank have scratches and stuff like that are things you will probably want to find out.

I dont have a sump so I use an aqueon hang on back filter to run carbon for the tank and just filter out fish poo, left over food if any and stuff along with my skimmer.

Oh okay, sweet man. So if I buy a tank with nothing included... I can buy a $55 Aqueon filter for a 55 gallon tank, a skimmer, powerhead, heater, RO/DI unit.and I should be good?
