Tampadude like some have said I would also go with the first setup and I wouldn't offer more than $200 as well or better yet tell the person you want to see it before you decide. I found a similar offer on Craigslist and the ad said the guy was breaking down his tank to sell it. Advertised it as perfect condition, but when I saw the tank I quickly realized that this was not his tank. He had it stuffed in a dark shed and the tank was so caked. With coraline algae that you would need a chisel and sledge hammer to get it off. Long and short be careful with what you see on Craigslist.

Also I'm just starting out with salt as well and I recommend you do a lot of research before you start dropping some money. I did some serious research and realized that if I was going to do this it would take some serious comment and serious dollars. I am a firm believer that if you skim you pay for one way or another. You and I are both starting this wonderful hobby and the last thing you or I would need is to see our investment and our joy go terribly wrong. It is just my opinion and I don't mean to discourage anyone. Just make sure you do your research

agree 100 %....but I know how things add up...buy all means check it out...look..feel...touch...smell..but if it is what I see in the picture..your well on your way for a very small investment..if you get it for about 200 / 250...granted its not leaking and is not all scratched up...but if its all good...just the fixture, tank and rocks with the sump and a skimmer..JMO..your good to go...if I had the option to do over...I'm on it....considering the obvious a fore mentioned factors....and as for lights..no need to upgrade until after the cycle..so a few months down the road.
    Good luck ! :cheesy:
