really? You have room to store buckets but not enough for a RODI? They make a mighty mite and it works great. I used it for about 7 months without a hitch. It would fit under any sink or anywhere you can basically think of. Mine was inbetween my washing machine and a shelf. Also if you just buy another T-fitting and a valve and you will have plenty of delicious RO drinking water. Its a thought. Just trying to help, so dont take it bad.

    Here it is..

I would go with the gasoline jugs, they are very sturdy and won't bend when filled up. I've seen 7g ones, but of course there are smaller ones too. I saw them cheap at Walmart.

If you can find water jugs or old style gas jugs I highly recommend them. There is a new regulation on fuel can nozzles, and the new ones are ridiculously complicated to use. Pep Boys usually has the water jugs which are blue and have a regular nozzle.

If you do go the orange home depot bucket get different lids. The orange lids have a rubber ring around them that after transporting salt water started to deteriorate, and left an oil slick on the top of the water.

WalMart or any camping/outdoor store will have real nice sturdy blue 5 gallon drinking water storage jugs. These have spouts and handles so are easy to use and transport. They are cube shape so can be stacked in a corner out of the way.

I use the clear 5 gal drinking water bottles myself since I had a friend who worked for a bottled water company and got me some of the scratch and dent bottles cheap. I wish I had the newer ones with the handles built in though.
