What does everyone have plugged into their controller?

I assumed you just plugged everything into it, but someone mentioned not to plug in your powerheads, return or skimmer.

So I'm wondering what everyone else is doing?

Don't plug your heater into a timed controller. You're going to want temperature control around the clock. Same with Power Heads and Skimmer... Essentially I use the time controller for my lights. And maybe an auto feeder if I'm away for a weekend or something like that.

I have 8 available outlets on my controller. As someone asked, it depends on what controller you have and what inputs act as control switches. If a pH probe and temp probe are inputs, then calcium reactors, dosing pumps and lighting/chillers are fair game.

I have my skimmer, calcium doser, alk doser, sump fan, halides, actinics, main return, and chiller plugged into mine.

pH probe, temp probe, MH lights, moonlights, refugium lights, heater, fans, powerheads on wavemaker function, return pump and closed loop pump. The calcium reactor pumps will be on it when the reactor is repaired

I'm still debating on either the Apex or a ReefAngel. To do what I need I'm looking at 2 ReefAngels though.
