i had a buddy who bought one of the newer mustangs. he got the v6 but the second week he was complaining about not going with the GT. personally, 300+hp is MORE than enough.

my guess is that you're more responsible than most 16yo i know and you're actually trying to balance muscle with economics (kudos to you, bro). the mustang is a sweet ride, no doubt. very mean looking. however it's number two in my retro list. 1) Challenger 2) 'Stang 3) Charger 4) Camaro

eh.... i don't like the camaro because of the major blind spot.

I am a lot more responsible but i am trying to mix in i don't have a job at the moment so i need good gas mileage on the car and i need something that is made to impress... and that has power. At my school its all about money and i hate it and so i just need to get a good looking car that sounds nice and has a good amount of power so i don't look bad.

you want power, my first car was a '74 GMC 1/2 ton with a 7.2 litre 454, no exhaust. that sucker got 6mpg on a good day but it was the loudest, fastest truck i've ever been in. it eventually blew up and my dad bought me a geo tracker....

sure i wasn't blowing $20 on fuel to drive to the movies, but i don't think a chick looked at me the entire time i owned that car, lol

A V6 is not a lot of power... you will always want more. If you get a fast car, though, you'll want to show it off... and being that you're young, just be careful and don't do something stupid.

I had a 1972 Olds Convertible with a 350 Rocket in it while in high school... it was fast and powerful, but kids thought it was ugly b/c it wasn't a new car. I didn't care though, b/c I loved that car and F#@K anyone who wants to judge me on my car!

Right put into perspective of insurance on a V8 for a new 16 year old driver and a V6 the V6 insurance is cheaper the the V8.... and 305 HP for a V6 is not that bad in my OP.... And i hope i don't do something stupid and immature.. cause i don't need to die i would like to see another day.... you know... :)

You hope you don't? Just don't, that's the smart thing to do.

Survival of the fittest. Just don't take out an innocent family.
