The new 2011 v6 mustang is easily the best car of the crop. 6 speeds in auto or stick, 31 mpg, 305 hp, 0-60 in the low 5 second range, and it handles better than anything else out there. Some may argue that the genesis coupe handles better, but that is subjective, and IMHO, the mustang looks easily better. The camaro, while a nice design, is heavy, and just because it is a camaro, will always be second best to the mustang. It's part of the camaro's DNA to be a runner up.

As a matter of fact, the v6 stang (with the $2000 suspension upgrade)now handles better than a miata, well regarded as one of the better handling low dollar cars, and even handles as well as the mighty 2010 BMW m3. keep in mind that m3 costs close to 3 times as much as the mustang.

Ford will sell a TON of these, and for great reason.

I'm thinking of buying one as my work car just cause #1, good HP and fuel mileage, how often do you hear that
    #2 it's a mustang
    #3 their cheap

    I'll still be buying a 2014 GT Conv't so I have a 50th anniversary to go with my 25th also but I'm thinking real hard on a 2011 v6

That may all be true, I am unread on it to be honest... but it is still and uncomfortable car to drive IMO. You could not give me a mustang. I found absolutely no pleasure in driving this car.

Have you driven one yet SB?

I feel a car should be an extension of your body. Movements should come natural and no thought should be required to drive it. I found my extension......what will yours be? Other peoples thoughts be damned when it comes to "your" vehicle. When you are in your car, no ones opinion about it will ever matter to you.

Good to hear. It drives me nuts to hear someone say that they want a particular car, and no other will work, and they have no experience behind the wheel of that particular car.

My advice is to drive it. Don't baby it, don't rush it. Drive it exactly how you would drive it if you owned it. Drive it in the conditions you would drive it in, IE; heavy traffic, stop-go, highway, etc. Stop in a parking lot, and play with every button it has. Take your time, see how comfortable it is in 30 minutes or so. If it is for you, you will know.

I hope more than a ton. That's not even one car!!! ::):p

The last body gen of Mustang GTs stock couldn't take my (4-door) 305hp V6... so knowing their V6 is same as mine now... I'm very anxious to meet one of these new ones on the highway. And hesitant to meet the GT big bro now.

Also, very happy Ford fixed the butt of that mustang. Looks much nicer now.

Im no mustang fan(except older models) but i have an infiniti G35 coupe. top end model m6 package yada yada.....

all i can say is i prefer to drive my 4door sedan over the rice rocket. the convienience of 4 doors when you got things to do and people to see is uncomparable.
