I'm not sure what year it is so I don't know what gen it is. But OHMAHGAWD I love driving her car. Love love love. Love. Hahaha. I've got the truck, she has the zippy sporty car. It works :) Honestly her car is probably the most fun car I've driven before.

Her - "Hey do you wanna drive?"
    Me - "YESSSSSSSSSS...please..."

I miss my 04 evo, that was fun to drive and I have the driving record to prove it haha

I thought about getting a new STi but I refuse to drop 40k on a compact sports car when I can get a 400+hp car that is comfortable for that much

Was this excluding 4th gen mustangs/camaros when GT's came with 4.6l and z28/SS came with 5.7l?

year car 0-60 1/4 mile time

    4th gen
    1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.8 14.4
    1994 Ford Mustang GT 6.1 14.9
    1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS 5.2 13.6
    1998 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 5.4 14.0

All times came from this website:
0-60 and 1/4 mile times for Factory Stock Vehicles

My last stang was a 92 lx 5.0 convertible, automatic. it was a fun car to cruise in. It was decently fast, reliable, got great mpg, and never treated me badly. If that car was stick, I couldn't have driven it more than 50 miles without cramping up. My 87 lx 5.0 hatch I had was built up pretty well and very fast. It was totally reliable as well, as with all my fords.

I liked the 99+ Gt's, as well as any of the cobras even if they were 4.6 liters. The 96-98 GT's were not so quick until they got the PI heads.

The new 5.0 is a beast, and I am happy to hear the old name( and even more power and handling) is back.

Yeah NVH is noise , vibration and harshness. The VQ engine is finally getting harped on for not being a smooth running engine. That, and I HATE the tone of exhaust that nissan puts out.

Yeah, the IS is a nice car, I have not driven one, but I would drive one of those. That motor is an Inline 6, so it does not have the built in NVH issues that most v6's have inherent to their design. You mean like 96-98 gt stangs, yeah, those were slow, but a 94-95 with the old 5.0 usually won't be stock, and even if they were they were pretty fast, much more so than a 96-98 gt was with the non PI 4.6. It's not that the 96-98 SOHC 4.6 can't me made fast, but they are expensive to make them fast, and why would you build one of those up when you could just buy a better foundation GT or cobra of another year?

I know that the last gen before GM killed them of camaros and firebirds were faster than the equal variants of mustangs of that time, but faster still does not equate to better.:)
