What do you think of my filter idea?

The idea is it would be like an under gravel filter, only debris get caught under a UGF, with my design stuff won't get stuck because the floor is sloped so the junk will slide into the pipe and blown back into the top.

It also kind of works in the same principle of a bare bottom tank in which you would have a lot of flow to keep the debris off the floor, however my design only requires one pump.

Why will the tube block up with crap? I don't have a problem with any of the inlets on my pumps getting blocked up now. The only thing that would make it through the floor would be fish waste and spare food, neither of which I see posing a blockage problem.

if u have any kind of rock in the tank at all, u have every chance of small peices breaking off and goin straight down that tube, if they are heavy enough or there is not enough flow to move them they will end up building up in the tube and blocking it up.
