The max read/write speeds of a SSD don't tell you much. It's how fast it can write and read from a bunch of small files which is what makes them install/load programs and such so fast. Samsung and Crucial both make some of the best right now. I have a Samsung 830 in a G73JH and it's quite fast. There are sites that have benchmarks for SSDs, I'd search around and find something worth getting. There's a lot of SSDs that aren't that fast - particularly those sold in laptops claiming they have a SSD.

Also, TRIM support is nothing new...

    This x100000000.

Macs are overpriced for outdated hardware most of the time. And you can't game on a mac anyways.

Yes you can. The games he plays support mac I believe. A lot of games now have mac and Windows support. But still, macs are worthless, and this is coming from a guy who was in the final interview stages with Apple and decided I didn't want to deal with the tard owners.

Yea thats another thing....mac corporta-"so how do you think we can rip off the apple supporters this year? lets give them stuff everyone else already has, but make them think its the new big thing because we are doing it! and charge double everyone else!"

i will never buy an apple product simply for that.

+1 They also try to make themselves seems like awesome coders when Microsoft is much better (not that Microsoft is as good as Google and others) . Their code was crap before they just made their OS basically Unix with a skin, and their attempt at a maps app was horrible at best.

Well i know that "technically" you can game on a mac. Steam has ported some games over. But I don't call it being able to game when the only mac u can get with ANY type of graphics card is a mac pro for 2500 bucks, and that gets u an ancient graphics card. Then if you want to upgrade it yourself you can't because the new cards arent supported. Its a joke. For 2500 bucks i could build 2 computers that would run circles around a mac pro. On the other hand, im sure a macbook would maybe play cut the rope or angry birds so i guess u could call it a gaming machine, lmao.

Btw I wouldn't consider an ati carded machine. My laptop has one (5870) and can play Crysis at 900p with all settings on very high and some AA and AF on yet couldn't handle Alice Madness Returns without a lot of stuttering. Apparently Alice has really unnecessary physics calculations that a fairly new nvidia card will take on but ATIs don't so it was up to my cpu and even my i7 wasn't enough. It's partly that game's developers doing a crappy job there, but I'm sure the problem happens with more games and will with some future games.

I also bought that laptop from BH and I am very impressed. It's fast, and BH shipped it out just a few hours after I ordered! It's not as bulky as some of the reviews said it was.
