    The easiest way to tell if copper is leaching out is to pick up a "Poly-Filter". Its a special filter pad that will remove trace elements and metals from water, usually run you about $15 or less. If there is copper present it will change colors to indicate copper. Most likely your fine. Unless the tanks were treated heavily daily for years, then I highly doubt toxic amounts will leach out of the silicone.
