Hey Everyone-- What do you use to clean your glass? I'm getting tiny little scratches on the glass in the corners from trying to scrub. I've been using a brillo pad (sponge on one side and green scrubber on the other side. Any help would be great.

outside or inside? Outside paper towels and RO/DI water for a streak-free finish. I use a mag-float to clean the inside (always clean the outside first) and a razor blade if the coralline gets bad.

Kudos+ Do you have glass or acrylic? If acrylic make sure you have the mag float and any scrubber designed for acrylic. Be careful not to pick up sand and scrape the tank that way. I always shake out the mag float & scubbers immediately after I scrub the bottom part of the glass. I learned that the hard way on my old 120g. Also be careful with razor blades in the corners and bottom and top of the glass as you don't want to cut into the areas where the glass was sealed.

if you run the magfloat up and down enough times against the corner of the glass it will pick up darn near all of the algae.. it may just be me having a lot of patience with it, but hey it works in my case.

Mag float, razor, and the sonic scrubber.

Sonic scrubber is alright. works well IME. I have used it close to the seal with success on some of the harder stuff to get up. But will not get everything off. $10 at walmart. and another $10 for all the crazy attachments. A luxury to have for cleaning the inside glass.
