Does any one know approximately what a 36” Dual MH (175W) w/ dual VHO Aluminum Frame dual fan fixture weights? I am going to get my hanging devices and what an idea of what to use to hang the fixture and I really don’t want to use chains. Going to Lowe’s tomorrow and suggestions?

I saw your earlier post before, i do like this idea with an addition of two emergancy cords. My Ballast will be seperate. I will have to do a major search tomorrow, i sold both of my PC and my MH arrives Thursday so i want to have the cables set up tomorrow, no pressure!

Heh. What fixture did you get? Some of them have suspension cable options like that first link.

Its a Hamilton Technology so i do believe it will weight a few more pounds then the one in you first response. I am going to call around for the Bike Hoist, I like that idea especially for cleaning.

Ah.. a Hamilton.. well I'd call them up out of curiousity. You never know.

The bike hoist is pretty cool though. 8)

    FYI

Thank you for your inquiry. The 36" Dual MH/95W VHO would be a total weight of 50lb. The bulk of the weight would come from the ballast that comes with the it.

Ah so the ballast is attached. Looks like you'll need to find a stud in your ceiling.  :-/

Or just get some legs for it.
