    Thanks Nor Cal!
I sell other stuff (foods etc) from bulk by the pound now... even IO salt weighed from big box sold by pound for less than buying a 25gal box, so why not everything else? I like it!
I wouldn't ever trust the 'pool safe' chems either or expect my customers to.

And I'm glad to here someone has fish books with good honest info! I'll be looking for a copy for the store (for public reference) as discussed above!

    Thanks a ton man!

LMAO if I wouldn't freeze the critters I should put some saloon doors on! LOL but we have a couple feet of snow here and average around 300 inches a year so it might not help keep my overhead down! LOL

I'll find my camera and get some pics of the store but I warn you all it is ROUGH but functional! LOL

My whole SW 'section' which isn't a section since it is kinda here there and everywhere at the present (that will change) consists of a 55 gallon DT, two 10 gallon DT's all about to be hooked to a 40 long sump/DSB fuge. Plus one 6 gallon eclipse nano at the front counter.

The building was built as a neighborhood grocery store back in the mining boom days (1899) and is sand stone and 111 year old brick. Stood empty for about 40 years mostly untill the pet store and would have been lost (back wall nearly caved in) but for some fast mason work at the begining! A landmark and renovation in slow motion progress! LOL

I promise I'll get pics so youall can laugh but not promise how fast k?

Thanks for all the info and laughs guys, you all are great!

Great thread! I just read the whole thing, and I think the 3reefers covered a lot of awesome ideas for your store! One thing that I would love to see, once you gain all the necessary experience and equipment is a frag tank :) And I still think that you should convert that angel tank into a FOWLER, for some tangs or triggers ;)

But I must say, that I love visiting your store (even if I'm broke), and I will be a customer as long as I'm in the Copper Country!

Gabby I can't tell y ou how happy it makes me when people say that they'll be customers for long term. :) It's been some humble beginings for sure and still is but "Ive gotta dream" LOL

And actually the angels have been begging to go to the 29 gallon to free up the 75 for something more interesting.... they told me this week end LOL

You read the WHOLE thread? I'm impressed cus it is getting kind of long! LOL thanks! and 3reefers are awesome! Thank you for telling me about this forum that day at the store! I just joined as a supporter today when I noticed you could do that.... have to keep 3reef going or I'll get dumb fast lmao!

tons of great ideas that I'm going to work on using at the store... first thing I'm working on those care sheets!

    Thanks for everything

Oh boy! I can't wait!!! I found a little zoa on my live rock last week. Hopefully when it gets bigger and spreads I will be able to share it with you! It's like a hunter green color with a hunter's orange center. Really cool looking!

Sorry to get off topic, but what would the best day be for me to come in and order a fish?

    Thanks Jim!

Pics are hard to get ~ it's at a difficult angle, and it's even smaller than your little frag was the first time I saw it! (hard to believe, I know ::) ) But I will try and get one tomorrow.
